Tattenhall Wins Squash 'Team of the Year' Award

Our Junior Player's success recognized!

Huge congratulations to our squash 4th Team for winning the ‘Team of the Year’ award for the most improved team across all 5 divisions of the North West Counties Squash League this season. An achievement of which both the club and coaches are extremely proud, especially as the team was made up of junior players throughout the season.

Tattenhall Squash Club has a very active junior section, with group coaching sessions every Saturday morning catering for kids from the age of 5 to 18. At the start of the 2022/23 season the club decided to enter a team of junior players into Division 5 of the senior NWCSL, hoping it would help the juniors’ squash development. This proved to be an amazing success with them thoroughly enjoying playing competitive league squash against some very experienced squash players. Despite some tough matches early in the season, the players all showed dramatic levels of improvement through the year, and by the end of the season they were capable of winning most of their matches. They finished in 3rd place, just missing out on promotion, which was a fantastic performance!

The club is looking forward to these junior players now progressing through the club’s teams as they continue on their squash journey.

The club would like to thank these players for providing such scintillating entertainment on the squash courts through the season. It would also like to thank all those who helped and supported them through this season. No mean feat – an award well deserved!
