Tattenhall Tennis Club are Crowd Funding for New Flood Lights

We are Tattenhall Tennis Club, a vibrant and inclusive club welcoming players of all ages. We are a friendly social hub where people come together to build connections, stay active, and have fun.

Our weekly schedule is packed with activities for all levels, including social play, coaching, walking tennis, competitive match play and cardio tennis. Whether you're a seasoned player or just starting, our club offers a place to learn, grow, and enjoy the sport in a supportive environment.

During the winter months we need floodlights to enable children to have lessons, social play can take place in the evenings as well as other activities like cardio tennis, general play and coaching

As well as improving visibility on the courts during the darker months, the new LED lights will also reduce the light spillage beyond the courts, so reducing light pollution in the area.

Why are we crowdfunding?

Sport England will donate £7580 if we raise at least £7580 through this crowdfunding page. This will give us enough to install the much needed modern, brighter long lasting LED Floodlights.

Floodlights are vital to keeping our courts and the club active throughout the year, especially during the darker months when we all tend to hibernate a bit. Unfortunately, our current lights are outdated, inefficient and can't be repaired as replacement bulbs are no longer available.

By upgrading to modern, energy-efficient LED floodlights, we will:

• Ensure all our evening activities including junior coaching, social tennis, and cardio tennis can continue into the winter evenings.
• Provide a low-maintenance solution that benefits the community for years to come.
• Enable anyone, including non-members, to book floodlit courts year-round for evening play.

We are a social club, anyone of any ability is welcome to come and play, we really encourage new members and can support you with coaching or people to play with. Ensuring the club runs through the winter helps the community get together, helping our physical and mental health. How we'll spend the money raised

We'll replace the old floodlights and poles with a new LED system, including new poles and electrical supply from the clubhouse. We are changing the poles to three poles on each side of the courts, ensuring consistent and reliable lighting to a very high standard. We have received planning permission in July and as mentioned Sport England have pledged us half of the total if we can raise the other half.

• Children in Tattenhall and nearby villages will have a safe, well-lit space to play and learn tennis.
• Adults of all ages can stay active, social, and engaged throughout the year.
• Non-members will also have access to floodlit courts, promoting inclusivity and community involvement.
