The Llantysilio Fell Race byTattenhall Runners, Sport & Leisure Tattenhall
19 March 2022
After a Covid-enforced absence of two years it was great to get the Llantysilio Fell Race running again on the 19 March in glorious Welsh spring sunshine.
The local residents and farmers were as always extremely welcoming and generous in their support; the race could not run without them.
66 runners started and completed the race with Andrew Grant (Harrogate Harriers) winning the men's race in a great time of 55 minutes and 17 seconds, and Jacqueline Lee (Eryri Harriers) taking the prize for first woman in a time of 1 hour 7 minutes 15 seconds.
The race was organised by Tattenhall Runners with the excellent support of many of the club members marshalling the course, ensuring all runners get around safely. After the race it was fabulous to see so many competitors staying around to catch up and support the cake and coffee sale organised by the kids. They raised an incredible £300 for Unicef's Ukrainian Children's Charity, and thank the fell-racing community for its generosity.
All in all, a very enjoyable, successful day!
