In this series, we spend 10 minutes talking to someone who lives or works in Tattenhall and share our findings with you.
Today, we're talking to Parish Councillor Jonny Kershaw.

How are you?
Very well thank you!.
Where are you from?
Tattenhall
How long have you lived in Tattenhall?
I grew up in the village, and after a few years away returned in 2001
What do you like about the village?
I love how vibrant the village is. There is so much going on, from the fabulous sporting facilities to the many community groups in and around the village.
What would you most like to improve in the village?
Speeding in and around the village & Parking around the school at peak times
Have you found any positive aspects of the Covid-19 restrictions?
The Parish Council and Church volunteer group was very impressive. The initiative brought the community together, and the feeling that the community cared for each other was lovely
Who do you most admire, dead or alive, and why?
Admiral Lord Nelson, for his Naval tactical genius.
You've volunteered to give up a lot of your time to be a Parish Councillor. What was the trigger for volunteering for this role?
My Father was a Parish Councillor when I was a child which inspired me, but living in the heart of the village gave me a real desire to be part of how the village and community are developing and changing.
What do you want to achieve as a Parish Councillor?
I would like to keep Tattenhall as special as it is now for the future generations.
What have you enjoyed most in this role?
I love doing my bit to keeping the village looking good, and of course being a voice for the people of the village.
What do you do to relax?
I love sailing, skiing, and supporting our local Rugby team.
Favourite Film, music, play or TV program?
I always try and make time to watch England playing rugby.
Who would you invite to a dinner party or a drink in the pub?
Friends & Family
If you could time travel, where would you go and when?
I would love to have seen the building of our house back in 1822. The Village would have looked very different! I am sure it would be a relief to be back in 2020, but maybe skip to 2022!

Thank you for your time, Jonny
