Do you remember this event? Do you recognise yourself in any of these photos?
In the 60's and 70,s the school PTA raised money for a swimming pool for the school, sadly the school grew in size and could no longer accommodate a swimming pool.

However, in March 1979 a friend of one of the teachers, Freddie "Parrot Face" Davies, a comedian came to open the new changing rooms for the swimming pool. Before that the children changed in the toilets and ran across the cold yard.

The PTA organised lots of events to raise the money; tea dances, stage shows, etc. A great time was had by all.

Freddie always wore a bowler hat for his stage shows, so the children were asked to bring a hat, keep it hidden until the signal was given then the hats were put on. Freddy was delighted. We all had a wonderful day. I'm sure there are lots more Park memories to be had.
