Local History

The Tattenhall Local History Website, established in 2012, serves as a cherished archive of the rich history of our village.

Over the past 14 years, the costs for domain and hosting have been generously covered by various sponsors, including our Ward Councillor, Thom Morton at SPAR, Gifford Lea, and the Parish Council, alongside donations linked to the book "Tattenhall – A Community United by War."

For sometime I have taken on the personal responsibility of funding the ongoing operation of the Website.

However, it has recently been deactivated due to outstanding renewal invoices from the web hosting company.

As I may soon relocate from the area, it seems impractical for me to continue this support from afar.

Therefore, I kindly appeal to individuals, companies, or local businesses willing to take on the annual and biennial hosting costs, which total approximately £60 annually and £20 biennially.

It would be a tremendous loss to see this invaluable historical archive, including a wealth of images and oral histories, disappear.

If you are interested in supporting this effort, please feel free to reach out to me.

Best wishes, Terri Hull (terri9hull@gmail.com)
