This is a plant enthusiasts' garden around a Jacobean house (not open). This garden was developed over the last 28 years from the gardens surrounding the old farmhouse. Over a hundred trees have been planted over that time, and more are being added.
It is 4½ acres, with wildflower meadows, interesting trees, a large pond, stream, a walled garden, colour themed borders, succession planting, a spinney walk with shade plants, yew terrace overlooking meadow, with a views to the Peckforton hills. Glasshouse and vegetable garden.
It is a wildlife friendly, sometimes untidy garden, there is interest year-round. It is continuing to develop and meet the challenges from an increasingly mature garden, in a time of climate change.
Home made Cakes and Tea will be sold in aid of Transition Tattenhall.
Entrance fee and profits from the plant stall go to the charities supported by the National Garden Scheme .
