Tattenhall Guides re-opened 5 years ago and have been going from strength to strength.
- We are a busy unit that is very active in the community attending Remembrance; providing refreshments at the annual Arts and Craft Show and, also at Tattenhall Hall National Garden Scheme (NGS) open garden afternoon.
- We take part in Girl-guiding events across the year such as the popular water sports days at Tatton Park and many of the girls take part in the annual Scouts' Cheshire Hike Competition.
- We have an annual residential on the May Day bank holiday weekend. The girls themselves vote on where to go and what they want to do!
- We hold weekly sessions during school term on a Thursday. The content of the sessions is varied to appeal to all girls, to develop skills and to challenge themselves. The girls love organising their own sessions!
I am currently the only qualified Leader for the unit. There are 4 wonderful helpers, 2 of which often join us for residentials and 1 who has recently commenced her Leadership training but is away at University.
We are looking for a volunteer (or 2) who would like to undergo their Leadership training (with full support, guidance and expenses paid) to support myself with the running of the unit.
Interested? Or know someone who is?
