Garden Society meeting Wednesday 14th
Our last speaker of the 24/25 season will be Danny Wells, on Weds 14 May 7.45 Barbour Institute. His topic 'the English and Gardening' is a bit of a departure for us as it's on garden history. He will look at the development of gardening and the meanings and symbolism that gardens carry, with a focus on Georgian and Victorian England and the first half of the 20th century. These periods still exert a huge influence on what we think of as making a garden today, so it will be interesting to hear how it all came about.
Visitors welcome at £3.
