Tattenhall & District Community Land Trust – an Update.

Towards the end of 2023 the disputed land situation was resolved when the homeowner who had fenced off the land removed that fence prior to selling their property. CwaC then fenced off the strip of land with a view to registering that land and giving the CLT permission to use it for their proposed development.

In 2024 CwaC informed the board members that they were unable to continue to support the CLT either with money from the S104 grants or with time and resources to take the project further.

The current board members feel that they are unable to take the proposed development forward. We are looking for volunteers to take over the Chair and board positions, develop a new project and plan and take this forward. We suggest that a minimum of 8 volunteers are needed to do this.

Volunteers are requested to put their name forward to grainger486@btinternet.com by 30/09/2025. If insufficient volunteers come forward the current board members will take steps to close down the CLT.

The board members are disappointed by this situation but wish to reassure CLT members that they did all they could to progress the development.
