David Bish has reported that St Albans very kindly allowed the British Legion to use the Poppy Drapes made by members of Tattenhall WI and other villagers, to form the centre of a display at the Interflora World Cup in Manchester last week.

In addition flowers from local grower Carol's Garden were selected, picked and used by the eventual winner of the event Nicolaus Peters from Germany. See Carol's story on her Facebook page (Carol's Garden). (Image from Carol's facebook page).

The annual Poppy Appeal is not far away, being launched on 26th October this year. We will be featuring the launch nearer to the time.
