We have had to make changes to the Annual Show to manage the current situation with Covid.

So, sorry folks, but probably for the first time ever there will not be a prize giving and raffle drawing ceremony at the end of the Show on Sunday. We were concerned about the potential risk from having large numbers of people in close proximity in the main hall for half an hour or more. Instead, the trophies may be collected by the prizewinners at the end of the Show at 4.00pm, when they also collect their entries. We'll draw the raffle after the Show and prizes will be delivered to their lucky owners in the days following – so please make sure your phone number is printed very clearly on the ticket stub.

There'll be some other changes this year as well, to try to keep everyone safe. Whether exhibiting, visiting or stewarding, please could you try to help us help you by observing the following:

There are no class entry fees, but you'll still have to fill in an entry form so we know who's won what. Remember that children can enter adult classes, but not the other way around (that wouldn't be fair).
In the afternoon, doors open to the public at 2.30pm and there is a £1 admission fee for everyone including exhibitors but not children, who go free whether exhibiting or not. Please have the right money ready to put in the collection bucket. And, unless it's throwing it down, entry fees will be taken and raffle tickets will be sold outside the building.

There will be a one-way system to take you round the whole building, entering by the ramp on the left of the main door and exiting by the ramp on the right hand side (Mill Field). Directional arrows and the stewards will guide you round. Both staircases will be in use.

We will not be serving teas in the afternoon. Sorry about this, but it seemed like the only sensible way to go.

Please wear a mask when inside, if you are able to, and use the hand sanitiser available throughout the building.

Please try to give space to others and be patient if those in front aren't moving as fast as you'd like. Try to avoid congregating if you can. Stewards will be tasked with politely reminding you.

All doors and windows will be open, to maximise ventilation.

Flower arrangers might want to think hard about the stability of their displays as well.

All exhibits to be collected at the end of the afternoon at 4- 4.30pm

It's great to be able to hold a proper Show again, with all the classes we usually have but let's make it a safe one and good luck with your entries!
