Tattenhall secured their first victory of the season at The Flacca after Captain Sadler won the toss and bowled first.
Ben Gibbon and Alan Brock bowled accurately to pin down the opening batsmen and both got their rewards as Ben had 1-3 off 7 overs and Brock 2-23 in his 10 over spell. Cheadle Hulme were able to recover from 39-4 as the change bowling failed to maintain pressure. A vital 6th wicket partnership between Read (67no) and Ali (50) gave the impetus back to the batting team and they were able to close out the 50 overs on 220-9.

Stuart Sadler and Henry Dobson made a brisk start to the reply but a good delivery from Williams accounted for Dobson and Siebert followed soon after to leave Tattenhall at 19-2. Coppack started steadily but lost Sadler to a poor mix up for 26 and another quick wicket left Tattenhall on 64-4. A quickfire 23 from Josh Harding was followed a confident partnership and good running with Ryan Spann (24). When the 6th wicket fell on 163, Ben Gibbon needed to show composure and he was up to the task. Even after losing Coppack to another run out for an excellent 80, he went on with Owen Williamson to get to the target in the last over and finish on 29 to complete an excellent all round display.

A much needed win for Tattenhall and a boost to the collective confidence for the campaign ahead of a 20/20 game on Thursday and an interesting clash with Marple away next Saturday.
