Message from Ruth McPhillips, President, WI Tattenhall ...

Your support is still needed to ensure that the Post Office returns to Pluto House.

It is extremely important that as many residents as possible take part in the public consultation which ends on 5 July. Literally, everyone needs to complete the online questionnaire or email/write to the Post Office.

Your Options:
* To be directed to the online questionnaire use this link and branch code -
https://www.postofficeviews.co.uk/liveconsultation.php – Branch Code 342614
*If you wish to email specific comments to the Team, the email address is comments@postoffice.co.uk
*If you wish to speak to anyone, the Customer Helpline is 03457 22 33 44 or Textphone 03457 22 33 55
*Should you wish to send your comments by post, then the address is 'FREEPOST Your Comments' – this is the full address to use and no further address details are required but please be aware that items sent by Freepost take at least 2 working days to arrive.

If you do wish to write, the following 10 points may help ...
1 Congestion in Spar
2 Lack of privacy in Spar
3 Access, particularly for the disabled and for those with infants, is far superior in Pluto House due to the purpose built ramp and the spacious interior within the building
4 The constant crossing of the High Street – the scenario – purchase a card in Pluto House, cross the High Street and queue in Spar to purchase a stamp, then cross back again to physically post it!
5 Sundry goods related to postage eg sticky tape, packaging are not available at Spar because of lack of space but there is ample room for these at Pluto House
6 Facilities like obtaining Euros on demand in Spar requires notice
7 The number of trained 'postal' staff in Spar is limited and the 'Post Mistress' has been required to multi-task between the Post Office requirements and the Spar store itself
8 A separate writing table remains in Pluto House to undertake form filling etc whereas there is no such equivalent space (not even a ledge) in Spar
9 Signage and counters remain in place in Pluto House making the transition back to Pluto House seamless
10 Relocation of the Post Office back to Pluto House allows Spar to give their customers space to browse too – a 'win win situation'. Currently, 1 aisle has been virtually redundant within the Spar store because individuals queue for the Post Officer counter service in that aisle.

Please remember that:
Responses received after the deadline of 5 July will not be considered.
'Use it' OR 'Lose it' – act now if you support the move back to Pluto House.

There will be forms around the village for you to sign if you have communicated with the Post Office.
The more people who sign to say they have communicated with the Post Office, the more weight will be given to our argument and this information will be presented to our MP Antoinette Sandbach who has helped us considerably in this process.
