Barbour Institute Jumble
Last weekend saw the ever-popular BI Jumble -- a fantastic fundraiser for the BI, a great reason to have a clear out and we certainly had a lot of satisfied customers.
We raised almost £600 pounds!
A huge thank you to all our lovely volunteers who helped (and brought friends to help too!), without them we could not manage to put on this event.
Much appreciation for Kate and her team who provided the legendary cakes, teas and coffees. Still thinking about the lemon meringue cake!
A special mention for the 2 volunteers who loaded their cars with unsold toys and pictures, ready to drop off at local charity shops this week.
All leftover clothing and textiles were promptly collected by representatives of Tattenhall Park Primary School PTA -- we're always happy to support the school.
Sadly, we are still struggling to find someone/ somewhere that will take the remainder of the sale, please get in touch if you have any ideas. Thank you to Skippy Skips for giving us a good price for the skip, with great service and communication too.
We've already been asked for the dates of the next Jumble, a Spring clear-out seems popular?
The next BI fundraiser is the Christmas Craft Fair, on Sunday 7th Dec 1-4pm, where there will be stalls selling handmade gifts, textiles, pottery, pebble art, woodcraft, cards and artwork. We'll also be selling festive refreshments.
Shop small, support local, be inspired.
