Helena Cooke, 22, from Tattenhall has been selected as a Fellow of the The National Youth Choirs of Great Britain.
Launched in 2015, the NYCGB Fellowship Programme is a major new initiative by the National Youth Choirs of Great Britain which aims to create the most highly skilled and multi-talented choral singers in the UK. Following an intensive three-round audition and interview process, eight singers aged between 22 and 25, all at the start of their professional careers, were chosen. They will benefit from a comprehensive 50-day professional training programme designed to develop outstanding skills in performance, education and leadership.
Helena already has a wealth of experience as a choral performer, acquired from undergraduate studies at the University of York, membership of The Sixteen's 'Genesis' programme, a Lay Clerkship with the choir of Clare College, Cambridge, and professional engagements with ensembles including I Fagiolini and Philharmonia Voices.
We wish her the very best of luck.
