SPAR Wins New Concession – Keeping Our Community Vibrant

Thom Morton, Director of SPAR Tattenhall, has landed a new and enviable concession with the highly celebrated and renowned company 'Cook'.

The company, which creates award-winning frozen meals, has just one guiding principle as its bedrock '... to cook using the same ingredients and techniques that a good cook would use at home, so everything looks and tastes homemade ...'.

That belief and their excellent product range can help local shops to flourish and to keep communities connected and vibrant. Thom is thrilled that this concession will add considerable diversity to Tattenhall's High Street.

The accolades are many – 'Country Life Magazine' describes the frozen meal range as 'looking and tasting homemade' and 'Taste Awards' (the Oscars of the Food Industry) have endorsed many of the mouth- watering dishes with their coveted seal of approval.

With a revolution in the workplace and with more and more individuals thinking about new ways of working from home (now and in the future), Thom has reconfigured the rear section of SPAR to showcase and stock this award-winning product range.

The range, the quality and the overall strength of the COOK brand sets them aside from the competition and customers have nothing but good things to say about the gourmet meals. Portions for 1, 2 and 4 are all available and there is a huge variety if you are vegetarian, vegan, dairy free, gluten free – they have it all.

This member of the Webteam took a peep – the choice is staggering – the 'Great Taste' Award winning dishes such as 'Coq au Vin'; 'Chicken, Ham & Leek Pie'; 'Pork Dijon' or 'Portobello Mushroom Risotto' (a creamy risotto made with Portobello, cup and chestnut mushrooms, topped with a knob of lemon and parsley butter) looked sensational, as did the 'Classic Fish Pie' (cod, smoked haddock and plump king prawns in a classic, white roux sauce with lemon, parsley and chives. Topped with buttered, parsley mash).

Not content with all of this, Thom has also introduced a Lavazza Coffee Station in store – this is a new concept, using fresh milk and is 'bean to cup'. Thom is still offering a 25p discount on all coffees if you use your own re-usable cup. This is no ordinary coffee, this is the coffee preferred by Italians and now right here on Tattenhall High Street!

After such an incredibly difficult year for everyone and in recognition of the support that you have given to SPAR Tattenhall, Thom is also holding a raffle in December. Tickets will be available from Monday 7 December to anyone who spends £15 in store (excluding purchases of lotto tickets, pay point and cigarettes). And, the prizes, a brand new LAPTOP (worth £400) and two £20 vouchers to spend in store.
