Our newly refurbished SPAR on the High Street is almost finished – Thom is just waiting on one fridge so we decided to go to print!

The store looks absolutely terrific and SPAR Tattenhall is the only store in the whole of Cheshire to display 'electronic shelf labelling'; giving customers an improved user service in the aisles where they make their daily decisions. Labels and prices are now much easier to read, whilst more detailed information will also be available to users. Thom is committed to giving customers helpful product information so that they can make informed decisions whilst they are shopping.

Thom has also launched a 'Loyalty Card Scheme' of 'Buy 9 and get the 10th absolutely FREE'! This includes:

• Freshly squeezed orange juice
• Hot Beverages
• Slush

Other features of the refit have been the installation of the new energy-efficient, eco-friendly LEDs as the preferred method of illumination throughout; the juice machine which has already become a real hit with residents (and which is available in recyclable and reusable glass bottles); the new fridges which will display and store food products at the optimal temperature, and, of course, no refit is complete without some new flooring and fixtures to complement the experience.

It is easy to take everything for granted but, as a major contributor to the vibrancy of our High Street, Thom Morton recognises the need to keep customer experience the best that it can possibly be. Importantly, investment in our High Street is crucial to sustaining Tattenhall as a local service centre.

POST OFFICE/PLUTO HOUSE GIFT SHOP – DAILY LUNCH CLOSURE

• Thom and Lesley would also like to advise everyone that from Monday 1 April (no, not an April Fool's!), both the Post Office and the Pluto House Gift Shop will start to close daily, thereby allowing staff to take a much needed short lunch break. This will between the hours of 2.00-2.30pm, something we trust you will all support.
• For information too, the Post Office and Pluto House Gift Shop will also be closed on Saturday 6 April and Saturday 20 April.
