The beautiful village of Tattenhall in Cheshire
Webteam: July 2015
Local youngsters involved in the Sandstone Scouts' Triathlon Team last month, achieved a delightful double. Not only were they all triumphant but one member completed the events in record and winning times!
As part of the Castle Triathlon Series, the 'Cholmondeley Castle Triathlon' challenged competitors who ranged in both age and ability; from first-timers and youngsters to the 'best of the best' with elite performers.
For our aspiring 11-12 year olds, there was the compulsory 200m swim in the Castle's Deer Park Mere Lake, followed by a punishing 4km bike route, concluding with a 2km run against the backcloth of Cholmondeley Castle itself.
With numbers of competitors increasing every year, who knows how many of our enthusiastic and talented youngsters will rise to the to the challenge next year? Mums and dads are welcome to join in too!
Can you spot yourself in your super swimming caps — well done to you all!
