Reptile Awareness Day is celebrated annually on October 21st. It's a day to raise awareness about the importance of reptiles and to promote their conservation.
What better way to celebrate than to learn some interesting facts about our native reptile species which live right here on the Cheshire Sandstone Ridge.
On the Ridge, we have 4 native reptiles; slow worms, grass snakes, adders and common lizards.
The Sandstone Ridge Trust has created a children's pamphlet which is packed with curious facts so that our youngsters can learn more about some of these wonderful creatures.
