Many years ago Rosie's parents had bought a dairy farm. After her dad died, the farm was tenanted out. When the tenants left, her mother challenged Rosie to do something with the farm, and so her sheep farming journey and adventure began; so different from her former banking career.
She undertook a four year agricultural degree course in Countryside Management at Reaseheath College and purchased 20 shearling Shropshire sheep plus one ram. She had been told a good ram is worth paying a lot for; so this she did! Apparently, a good ram needs to have a good physique with good strong back legs and – believe it or not – testicles with a circumference of 40cms!!
