Now that our waste collection is back to normal, the next consideration will be the Christmas Tree collection.

Whilst garden waste collections resume on 16 January (to include Christmas Trees), might it be better to think about the following initiative in aid of our local Hospices.

'Charity Christmas Tree Collection' is a fun community event where our volunteers collect and recycle Christmas trees.

It takes place at the end of the festivities usually on the first weekend in January after Twelfth night.

We work in partnership with hospices, sports clubs, Scouts, the Round Table and local businesses to build teams of volunteers to run the event.

Last year, JustHelping recycled nearly 8000 Christmas trees in 18 towns across the UK. With more than 500 volunteers supporting their communities, we raised nearly £83,000 for charity.

In January 2017, we will be recycling trees in aid of our local Hospices.
