Organ Refurbishment Appeal

The pipe organ in St Alban’s is over 140 years old. It has gone occasional refurbishment over that time, most recently in 1989.

The following work is required urgently:

• Renewal of the leather bellows
• Removal of accumulated dust from each of the 788 organ pipes prior to retuning.

If this work is not carried out soon the organ will become unrepairable.

The cost of this work will be £16,000 and St Alban’s need your help to raise it. A ring fenced fund has been set up for this purpose.
