The beautiful village of Tattenhall in Cheshire
Webteam: March 2020
Things are moving very fast , after agreeing to this the NGS have informed us that all gardens are now closed, apologies for getting your hopes up. But it looks like social distancing in this way can't happen.
Social distancing — take a Spring walk in Tattenhall Hall Garden.
Due to the current issues with Coronavirus where lots of things are closing down, we have decided to open the garden on Thursdays each week from 11-4pm, starting March 26th.
Initially this will be until May 24th, when we are, if possible, due to open the garden under the NGS .
We will be opening the garden under the auspices and insurance of the National Garden Scheme. We will have a donation box for the NGS charities if you are able to contribute. They are clearly concerned that they will not have as much money this year to support charities .
We will not be providing refreshments and there will not be an available toilet, but we hope this would not put you off coming.
Dogs on leads will be welcome.
So if you want to walk in the fresh air, keep a safe distance from others and see the progression of this large garden through the spring then this is your opportunity.
We will be around the garden, but taking all health and safety precautions. We will be very happy to talk about the garden and tell you about what we are doing.
We look forward to seeing you! However, if necessary, numbers will be strictly limited and we do not want to encourage people congregating in groups.

Along with feeders and bird baths, a bird box is high up on the list of a bird's basic needs. As well as providing a home for birds to bring up their families in spring and summer, a bird box will also provide shelter in the winter. When we asked you take photographs of Tattenhall whilst you were on your daily exercise regime (public health social distancing accepted), I think it would...
