Introducing PlusBus
If you find public transport difficult to use, then the PlusBus Service from ECT in Cheshire could be just what you've been looking for.
Where can I go?
Our PlusBus service can take you to many places across West Cheshire – from Neston in the north to Tattenhall in the south. You can even travel outside of the area if you need to go to Arrowe Park, St. Catherine's or Clatterbridge Hospital. There's a map above showing the areas covered.
Am I eligible?
The PlusBus service is there to help anyone who finds public transport difficult to use. This could be due to age, a mobility difficulty or disability – if you need a bit of extra help to get out and about, then PlusBus is there for you.
How does it work?
You can book a journey between 48 hours and one week in advance, with travel available between 9am and 11pm from Monday to Saturday, and between 9am and 5pm on Sundays (subject to availability). Our driver will pick you up at your door – and drop you safely home again afterwards.
How much does it cost?
A single journey costs £3, and a return journey costs £6. Charges are per person and apply to all passengers – but carers travel free.
How do I book a journey?
Before you can book PlusBus journeys, you'll first need to register. It's quick and easy to do – either online at www.ectcharity.co.uk/cheshire, or call us on 0151 357 4420.
To book a journey, call us on 0151 357 4420 between 9am and 4.30pm Monday to Friday – or email cheshire@ectcharity.co.uk – between 48 hours and one week in advance of the day you want to travel. You can make one-off bookings or arrange regular weekly trips, subject to availability (which means you only need to call us if you wish to cancel).
