The beautiful village of Tattenhall in Cheshire
Playground Community Group: July 2016
Fundraising to upgrade The Park Playground Area is making huge progress and monies and offers have been tumbling in.
A huge 'THANK YOU' to both TADs and to the Party on the Park who donated £1000 and £250 respectively from their recent events towards our project (it is likely that the Party on the Park to celebrate Her Majesty's 90th birthday would have contributed more had they not been thwarted with a deluge of rain on that very afternoon).
We also heard on Monday that the MBNA Foundation has granted us £5000 towards a large multi-use piece of equipment for this community project.
The Great Bear in Barbour Square have also generously donated £1500.
Bolesworth Estate and the builders, Seddon, have also confirmed that they are happy to contribute to the project with either labour for the groundworks or materials.
We have other bids which are currenty being considered but tremendous progress has been made since the days of the consultation period earlier this summer.
We will keep you updated in due course but for now, terrific progress; a total of £7750 in the last few weeks alone! It will be a creative, inspirational and exciting space for the children to play and exercise, and an area not only for families with young children to enjoy, but all for members of the community who want a great space to sit and relax whilst looking out on the beautiful village green landscape.
We're confident we'll make it happen! Watch this space.
