The Patient Participation Group (PPG) met this week and below is the March update ....

Hearing Loop

  • Terrific news – hearing loop facilities are now installed in both Surgeries. The hearing loop is a special type of sound system for use by people with hearing aids – we are proudly displaying signage in both our Tattenhall and Farndon surgeries. The signage, however, is very important in that it conveys the fact that there is an assistive listening service available to the user.

Panic Pull Cords

  • Naturally, we hope you never have to use them but these are also now installed in patient toilets in both surgeries and is part of our remit in providing the best possible service when visiting either surgery.

Patient Participation Survey

  • The practice has been overwhelmed with the numbers of responses – now 450 and rising daily!
  • This will provide valuable information upon which to act.
  • The deadline has now been extended – 14 April – so we ask everyone to complete the online survey which only takes about 10 minutes (or less if you are really savvy) – CLICK HERE to access the online Survey or pick up a paper copy which can be found in the Surgeries at both Tattenhall and Farndon, in the local Pharmacies or with Lesley, at the Post Office. We will update you of results in due course and we intend to hold information sessions in both Tattenhall and Farndon.

Patient Access – Have you obtained your Login User ID Number?

  • We know that your time is precious. Patient Access allows you to use our online services which may include booking an appointment, ordering repeat prescriptions, accessing your medical records, leaving secure messages and updating your details.
  • To enable you to do this, requires you to obtain a Login User ID Number CLICK HERE.
  • Once you have been allocated this, you need to just pop down to the practice with two forms of ID and you can then access the full functionality of Patient Access.
  • ID needs to include a photograph (eg Passport or Driving Licence) and the other piece of ID requires your current address (such as a bank statement or credit card statement). Utility bills will not be accepted as a form of ID.
  • If you cannot provide such evidence then just have a chat with us at either practice.
  • Sounds complicated, it really isn't. In any event we will be holding some drop-in sessions at each practice in the coming weeks – watch this space.

Missed Appointments – February 2018

  • Regrettably, there were 144 missed appointments last month (up 24% compared to February 2017). We ask you to be considerate in this respect and if you cannot make an appointment, then please advise the practice.

Spring Newsletter

  • Our Spring Newsletter is with the printer – it will be winging its way to your very shortly. In Tattenhall, look out for it, tucked inside the next issue of The Parish News Magazine.
