Oh What a Party!

After a spiritually uplifting service at St Alban's Church the Zimbawean Angican Church Fellowship and Tattenhallers enjoyed an afternoon of music and food and singing and food and dancing and food and games and food and fun and more food!

The church was decorated with flowers in the Zimbaberan colours and the welcome sermon was given by Jeremy Dusseldorf (Canon Precentor at Chester Cathedral) with singing led by the Zimbabwean Anglican Youth Choir.

Festivities then moved to the Rectory Garden where David Hermit (Safeguarding Chair at the Diocese of Chester) welcomed all visitors and friends to make the most of the sunshine and enjoy an afternoon of music and feasting. The National costume competition was a particularly colourful highlight of the afternoon.

What an afternoon it was! The music was just incredible and led by a Zimbabwe National Anglican artist and musicians who were accompanied by a London based Zimbabwe Gospel Band. There was plenty of food to go round with delecacies from Tattenhall and Zimbabwe on the bbq and stalls selling a range of Zimbabwean cuisine as well as cakes and scones.

A huge thank you to everyone who made it such a success and as ever there was support from local businesses on hand to make it happen. The Letters provided a bar, The Cheshire Ice Cream Farm provided ice cream, there were donations of prizes and a reliable band of volunteers to set it all up, take it down and man the stalls. Thank you everyone!
