NGS Gardens open 'nearby'

Two NGS Open Gardens to visit:

1) Bankshead, Old Coach Road, Barnhill, Cheshire CH3 9JL

This garden is 5 minutes from Tattenhall – why notget a group of friends together and make a memorable visit.
Two acres of terraced gardens developed from Victorian times with spectacular views south and west over the Dee valley towards the Welsh hills. Rose garden, herbaceous borders, large pond with Japanese style garden, rhododendrons and azaleas. Small orchard and vegetable garden. Shetland ponies and chickens.
Open by arrangement for groups of between 10 – 25, from 26th May to 29th June 2025

2) Capesthorne Hall, Congleton Road, Siddington, SK11 9JY

This garden is just under an hour away – and is only open on Wednesday June 18th

Varied garden with daffodil lawn, azaleas, rhododendrons, herbaceous border, woodland walk and arboretum. The tranquil gardens at Capesthorne Hall alongside the adjoining lakes are full of colourful perennials merging with the more unusual C18 plants, shrubs and trees. A family Georgian Chapel, ice house, cascade and memorial garden are located within the grounds.

Entry is £9.00 for adults – which can be booked online; or you can just go and pay on arrival.
