New digital health and social care directory launched

A new online 'one- stop shop' for people living in west Cheshire has been launched.

Live Well Cheshire West allows users to search for information on local services for themselves, family members or people they're caring for.

The site will help people who are looking for advice or information on all aspects of local life. This might be health, education, housing, transport, care choices for older people or children's services throughout the borough.

Since its formation two years ago, west Cheshire's Integrated Care Partnership (ICP) has seen departments from the NHS and the Council work together to deliver their services more effectively. The Live Well Cheshire West website is one result of this collaboration.

Live Well can give information on planning for retirement, staying independent and living safely at home as we get older. For people considering care for older relatives there is advice on how to identify what a person's needs might be, what type of care or accommodation would suit them best and how to pay for it. You can also get advice on what to do if you suspect someone is being abuse or neglected.

Live Well Cheshire West will give residents quick and easy access to information to help them in their daily lives. For example, they might need to look up the times of bus services to and from the local hospital, search for flexible childcare to fit in with shift patterns, begin to think about care choices for elderly parents or find activities for teenagers in their local area. Juggling work, family and caring responsibilities is a way of life for so many people nowadays.
