Nettle – Annual Easter Charity Coffee Morning update

We had a lovely time at our annual Easter Charity Coffee Morning serving
teas and coffees and delicious simnel cake tray bake.

We sold gorgeous spring posies and beautiful planters with herbs and seasonal bulbs and flowers, as well as a selection of cards and gifts all with Easter in mind.

Ros had baked her simnel cakes and other scrumptious home bakes which proved popular. It was nice to see some familiar faces from the village and also some of our avid followers and customers who come out of their way to support us from further afield. We raised £120 for the Neuro Therapy Centre in Saltney, which offers much needed therapies and support for people with neurological conditions across North Wales and Cheshire, by selling refreshments and giving a percentage of our takings.

Katherine, fundraising coordinator from the centre gave us this lovely feedback:
"I just wanted to drop you a quick email to say thank you again for your fabulous support of our Centre. Everyone here really appreciates it very much and the money you raised will pay for around twelve hyperbaric oxygen chamber treatments, or will allow four people to attend a fatigue management course. Your kindness really will make a huge difference to people living with neurological conditions".
