Dodge the showers and explore the wildflowers, insects and butterflies around the village.

There is a quiz with prizes to be won. Spot the insects and flowers along the way.

Biodiversity is the in-word, come and learn what it is and why people are letting their grass  and wild flower's to grow. You may think it looks messy and not a real garden, but it has a different purpose. 97% of wildflower meadows have been lost in the Uk since the 1930's-this is then a major loss for all wildlife that lives in and around a meadow. Cheshire West and Chester Council have also sown wildflowers on road side verges in the village, and on park.

Iif you have time, or another day, go check out the wildflower glades in Jubilee wood and the new Memorial wood. The first was started a few years ago and is now predominately perennial wild flowers, the three patches in the new wood have been sown with a mixture of annual and perennial flowers. So what you see are mainly annuals witha few perennials that will flower in their first year.
