PC: March 2019
We have this morning received the following message and images from the Chair of our Parish Council.
This article should also be viewed in the context of:
- the launch of the Green Dog Walkers' Scheme
- our upcoming 'Best Kept Village Award' entry
I took the opportunity to have a look at the finished Smithfields Pond this morning.
The view was marred by a discarded bin and a bag (sadly green) of dog poo in a tree (there is a dog waste bin less than 50yds away).
I never cease to be shocked by the lack of respect and pride that people have in their own home environment.
The Redrow Maintenance Agreement includes regular monthly inspection and removal of rubbish and fly-tipping (there was evidence of this as well).
There is reference to reporting the presence of rubbish.
I shall wait for a period of 1 month to see if the contract is being honoured.
