Local Resident receives Award

Volunteer of the Year Award goes to a local resident.

Cheshire West Voluntary Action (CWVA) recognised the aspiring achievements of Volunteers across the Borough on Wed 11th December at the Town Hall Chester.

Congratulations to Tattenhall's very own Dorothy Darnborough, who has been awarded the "Older Volunteer of the year 2024 Award".

This award is well deserved, and given in recognition of all the time and hard work Dorothy has devoted to helping others in the Community – in various ways.

Dorothy is a resident at Flacca Court, in Field Lane, and amongst other things is a Parish Councillor. Judy Baker, a resident of Flacca Court said: "I am sure I can speak on behalf of all the other residents when I say we are all very proud of her."

Maybe others could be inspired by Dorothy's example – and realise that age is not a barrier to getting involved and getting things done!
