This Sunday sees the 37th Chester Half Marathon, where lots of runners will be pounding our city's historic streets.
Local mum, Gina O'Brien Hill, who has lived in Tattenhall for the last 4 years, is about to embrace her first ever Half Marathon for the very worthy cause 'Claire House Children's Hospice'.
When we caught up with Gina, she commented ...'I had never run in my life before I began my training last September, so it's been a bit gruelling but hopefully all worth it in the end.
I am running Chester Half Marathon to raise money for Claire House Children's Hospice. I started training with the Couch to 5k app, having never run before in my life! It was hard work, particularly in the snow! In March I was lucky enough to get a last minute place in the first ever Chester 10k race, had a fantastic day and kick-started my fundraising for Claire House.
Claire House are the official charity of Chester Half Marathon and I am running for all families who have need of this amazing place, but specifically for those affected by infantile spasms.
