The Llantysilio Fell Race
18 March 2023
Tattenhall Runners, Sport & Leisure Tattenhall
Good running conditions and a fanastic sky greeted the competitors of this year's Llantysilio Fell race. Organised and marshalled by our own club, Tattenhall Runners, the race attracts competitors from many different running clubs across North Wales and the North West. Local residents and farmers were, as always, extremely welcoming and generous in their support; the race could not run without them each year.
Set in the picturesque Dee Valley, the race is just over 6 miles in length with 2100ft of ascent. It follows a route up toand along the Llantysilio Mountain ridge, with a final climb up to the highest point, Moel y Gamelin at 1893ft.
75 runners took part, and special mention should go to first home, Tom Haynes, who set a new record time of 53mins 13 seconds! Congratulations Tom!
