This member of the editorial team recently paid a visit to Little Pals at Beehive Farm and came away with a host of ideas for birthday and Christmas presents for my many nieces and nephews.
Situated in what used to be the tackle shop at Cheshire Fisheries, the business is run by Susan and Guy Grimes who acquired it in 2002 and are passionate about the idea of providing products to tempt children back into the outdoors.
Guy was a Business and Marketing consultant who decided to develop the company, moving into the online business in 2010. Their customers range from large global customers like Amazon, through 40+ garden centres, to John Lewis (a customer for over 15 years). From supplying companies in Dubai, to School wholesalers, Montessori Schools and now also dealing with individual customers through their online business.
All their products meet exacting standards for products for children, and they assemble all their products in the warehouse in Tattenhall.
Susan and Guy do everything from product design, to assembling kits, to keeping up with the digital requirements of an online business, to the admin involved in dealing directly with different sized customers. They are tireless in their pursuit of finding niche educational products for their customers.
They take account of seasonal changes, look online at their amazing Nature Watch kits for Autumn/Winter and Spring/Summer, gardening kits, fossil hunting sets, bat boxes and bird houses, cookery sets, the list is endless and ever changing. CLICK HERE to see their website.
Usually there is just Susan and Guy, with a warehouse manager dealing with their trade orientated business, however watch this space for exciting announcements for new local job opportunities.
