Litter Picking raised £700 for the homeless in Chester.

I would like to thank all the "volunteers" who gave up their time to collect litter in horrible weather to raise money for the homeless in Chester. It was very successful and we raised £700.00 which has been delivered to Chester Aid to the Homeless.

I would also like to thank Lesley for having the collection box on show in the Post Office and several of the businesses in Tattenhall who gave generously to the cause including:

• Swayne Johnson
• Suits
• T & G
• The Ice Cream Farm

and many villagers who kindly donated to the litter collection.

Maybe one of our New Year's Resolutions should be to bin our litter or take it home.
