Spiritual Pops?
Tattenhall Singers invite you along to a charity Summer Concert Tuesday 10th July. The venue is the Barbour Institute on the High Street, doors open 7.30 pm, and the vocal chords will let rip from 8.00 pm.
Tickets cost £5, with all profits going to the charity Save The Rhino. Tea or coffee and cakes (thank you WI for your donation) are included in the price.
The choir, membership of which is open to anyone prepared to attend rehearsals (8pm to 9.30pm, Tuesday nights), has continued to expand its repertoire this season. The old favourites will therefore be accompanied by Neil Sedaka songs from the 60s to more modern items that could be heard on film tracks or in muddy fields in Somerset. We also have a new African piece; the words may be unfamiliar but the effect is stunning.
Expect some star turns, not all sung, some probably quite funny, to make it a truly family event. Maybe not "The Voice" but more "Village Allowed"!
