Jubilation at Jubilee Wood – 28 June at 7pm

It is hard to believe that it is 5 years since the planting and official opening of Jubilee Wood! At that time, 1200 trees were planted in celebration of Her Majesty's Diamond Jubilee 2012. The trees were donated by the Woodland Trust, the Bolesworth Estate and Cheshire West and Chester Council and planting took place over a number of weekends between late November 2011 and early 2012.

Please join us to see how Jubilee Wood has become established and learn about our new plans to enhance the woodland habitat (funded from the 5p plastic bag initiative introduced by Thom Morton).

Also see ways in which ongoing management is a priority for TWiG volunteers to ensure that Jubilee Wood remains a key area of open space in the heart of our community for now and for future generations.

TWiG (Tattenhall Wildlife Group) invites you to join them for their 'Mid-summer walk in Jubilee Wood & The Flacca Wetland' – Meet at the Recreation Club car park on Wednesday 28 June at 7pm

There will be no charge, but donations from non-members would be welcome since we are a non-funded environmental organisation and rely on donations and/or initiatives such as that launched by Thom Morton.

Please wear suitable clothing and if this sensational heatwave comes to an end (which looks to be the case), you might also need waterproofs!
