VACANCY 1
Front Office Administrator / Receptionist – TATTENHALL, CHESTER

As a key member of the operations team, the Front Office Administrator will support the Village Manager in ensuring the smooth running of all front office processes for our Gifford Lea village in Chester.

You will need to build and maintain relationships between staff, our guests, and residents along with ensuring all administration tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner.

The Front Office Administrator / Receptionist will have experience of working in a busy environment and will have a proven track record of dealing with customers both over the phone and face to face.

The Role:

  • Managing the switchboard and reception
  • Meeting and greeting customers, guests, and residents
  • Updating and filing paperwork including housekeeping, bookings, and resident data
  • Ordering office supplies
  • Co-ordinating the guest suite bookings
  • Assisting with events / functions administration
  • Updating and creating notice board memos, menus, and posters
  • Monitoring the booking system for events and taking payments
  • Dealing with contractors to ensure all sign in
  • Processing invoices and dealing with some accounts queries

Key Requirements:

  • Great communication skills both written and verbally
  • Strong IT ability including the full MS Office package (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), would be desirable
  • Be an enthusiastic, flexible and adaptable team player.

VACANCY 2
Housekeeping Supervisor – TATTENHALL, CHESTER

As an important member of the operations team, the Housekeeping Supervisor will be responsible for the cleanliness of the village, whilst supporting our residents with a domestic cleaning service.
You will need to be able to build rapport between the staff, guests, and residents along with ensuring health and safety controls are always maintained.
The Housekeeping Supervisor will have previous experience working in a busy, hands-on role (ideally within a hotel / hospitality setting), with a proven track record of dealing with customers.

The Role:

  • Supervising the daily activities of the Housekeeping department
  • Planning, organising and directing team members to ensure the highest degree of resident satisfaction
  • Undertaking general cleaning of designated communal areas, ensuring they are kept tidy and in a hygienic condition. Including the guest rooms, lounges, bathrooms/toilets, pool areas and changing rooms, offices and kitchenettes, bar and restaurant and other communal areas
  • Undertaking cleaning duties within the resident apartments as per contracted requirements.
  • Upholding the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and conduct.
  • Maintaining expert knowledge of COSHH and safety standards
  • Determining and maintaining the department's work schedule used to notify staff of upcoming events
  • Ensuring the proper maintenance of all equipment; planning for repairs and/or replacements of used and damaged equipment

Key Requirements:

  • Previous experience supervising a team of housekeeping
  • Experience and passion about high levels of service within hospitality or relatable industries would be ideal
  • Experience with Health and Safety, safe working practice and chemical management
  • Health and Safety, COSSH certified would be ideal.
