A local resident has reported as follows:
I recently noticed several patches of an invasive weed (Japanese knotweed) on the banks of the Spinney (on council land and on private land). I thought your readers might want to know as I also saw children who were playing at the Spinney removing the knotweed whilst building a den, which is problematic as they are likely making the infestation worse and could potentially spread it to other parts of the village including their own gardens by transporting the ribosome on their footwear, and if it's being treated it is likely to contain quite nasty chemicals.
