]This is the Kitty Stone which can be found on the Sandstone Trail along Bickerton Hill, on Maiden Castle. It is a memorial to Leslie Wheeldon, the benefactor who helped the National Trust to acquire this hilltop heathland. It displays poems written by him in memory of his wife Kitty. On a clear day there is a lovely view out towards the Wirral and Liverpool.
