'Home Fires' returns to ITV this evening at 9.00pm (at last you say)!
We have now received confirmation from Patrick Smith, Picture Publicity Manager of ITV Drama, that we can go ahead and feature the images taken during filming within the Barbour Institute ('dressed' for filming) and on Church Bank.
Today, we feature the interior of the Barbour Institute. Ironically, you will see that the Barbour Institute represents a 'Hospital Ward' in the new series and many of you will know that during WWI this very building was designated as an 'Auxiliary Hospital' (see www.tattenhalllocalhistory.co.uk and follow 'Tattenhall Remembers' on the toolbar).
This fantastic selection of photographs (ahead of Sunday's transmission) were taken by resident photographer, Keith Titchener (click on each image to enlarge).
We have no idea in which episodes you might spot the interior of our much loved landmark but we are sure that you will agree 'a not to be missed event'.
Tomorrow, we will feature images of the filming on Church Bank (in advance of Sunday evening's programme).
Happy viewing!
