The beautiful village of Tattenhall in Cheshire
CWaC Libraries: March 2016
Cheshire West and Chester Libraries are delighted to announce that Tattenhall Library is to be one of the three recipients of Tesco's Bags of Help initiative in the Chester region.
Tattenhall Library hopes to create an outdoor, sheltered garden area to open up a wider community library space. This space would enable the community to partake in social activities such as outdoor rhymetimes and reading groups, as well as providing volunteering opportunities for all ages to maintain and develop the garden.
We also hope to deliver a programme of events such as gardening clubs, reading groups and arts activities.
The space would also enable the adjoining school to bring classes over to use the library or provide a place to meet your local PCSO or Councillor.
The project is called 'Grow Tattenhall Library'.
There is only a very short voting period; the public are able to vote in store from 27th February until 6th March on who should receive the £12,000, £10,000 and £8,000 awards.
The amount the grant is worth depends on the number of in store votes we receive, so we need your help to promote it as much as possible, especially in the Chester and Rural localities.
Participating stores are:
Chester Tesco Superstore -- Frodsham Square, Chester Cheshire, CH1 3JS
Tesco Express -- Pepper Street, Chester, Cheshire, CH1 1DF
Tesco Express -- Delamere Street, Chester, Cheshire, CH1 4DS
Tesco Superstore -- Hartford Way, Sealand Industrial Estate, Chester, Cheshire, CH1 4NT
Tesco Express-Weston Grove, Upton,
Chester, Cheshire, CH2 1QL
Chester Broughton Tesco Extra-Broughton Retail Park Chester Rd Broughton Flintshire CH4 0DR
Social media will be used to raise the profile of the vote and to get as many people as possible to support the project. Please look out for the tweets on the Twitter feed, any retweets are very welcome!
So, make sure you vote and let's work together to make this an amazing community space.
