The beautiful village of Tattenhall in Cheshire
Webteam: February 2016
You will all know that there is a national initiative to remove litter in advance of Her Majesty's 90th Birthday.
The WI have already posted an article inviting anyone to join them at their 'litter picking event' on Friday 4th March starting at 10.00am on Chester Road and between 'Alpha House' and the 'Surgery' (including the path down to the Spinney).
As evidence of the scale of the problem, a member of the Webteam went out this Thursday afternoon (complete with high visibility jacket) and collected what is shown in the photograph.
This was litter on a 150 yard stretch of Burwardsley Road between the 30 mph speed sign and Field Lane.
The evidence speaks for itself (click on image to enlarge).
