Grosvenor Museum named one of the North West's most visited attractions

A major survey by Visit England has placed Chester's Grosvenor Museum in the top 20 of the most visited free attractions in the North West.

Although still down on pre-Covid figures, museums in England overall showed an increase of 20% in visitor numbers, the most visited free attraction was the British Museum, and the Tower of London topped the list for the most visited paid for attraction. The Grosvenor Museum attracted 58,934 visitors in 2022 and 62,009 in 2023. A significant number of these were school children making the Grosvenor one of the most popular museums for schools to visit in Cheshire.
