Green Dog Walkers take the lead!

TATTENHALL GREEN DOG WALKERS TAKE THE LEAD.

Tattenhall dog owners took up their leads and joined a group walk around the village of Tattenhall on Saturday 22nd July.

The walk was part of the Green Dog Walker Scheme which was launched in Tattenhall in 2019 to tackle the problem of dog fouling in and around the village.

The scheme seeks to encourage dog owners to sign up to a simple pledge which states they will clean up after their dogs and that they will dispose of the bags properly.

The walk which attracted over 10 dogs was kindly sponsored by Bradley Green Pet Store who provided everyone who took part a goody bag with a selection of treats for the four-legged walkers.

The walk was a huge success with owners and dogs making new friends.

One participant said:

"It's such a great idea to have a group dog walk and get to meet other like-minded people, the Green Dog Walkers Pledge is such a good idea encouraging people to pick up after their dogs and the Bradley Green Pet Store goody bags were a bonus."
