If, like me, you have noticed lots of individuals and traffic in the village, then it is surely early-bird arrivals for CarFest North which begins at Bolesworth Estate.

This member of the Webteam spoke to several festival goers who were camping and glamping locally, who had popped into Alison's Country Kitchen for coffee and cake and who were also stocking up on goodies at SPAR on the High Street – they had only praise and admiration for this lovely part of rural Cheshire. Many were coming back for a second time, having attended the festival last year!

For our local businesses and services, we wish them luck – I know how much time and energy has been invested in this upcoming weekend with some of our contemporaries working 18-hour days in preparation for this fantastically worthy cause (I hope you are not too exhausted Suzanne – your reputation at Pitch & Canvas goes before you).

And to Bolesworth, your preparation is (as always) meticulous – temporary travel disruptions/traffic information can be viewed by CLICKING HERE.

Let's not forget, however, that this is all for a terrific cause – BBC Children in Need.

The 2017 financial statement (a combination of both CarFest North and CarFest South) is available to view CLICK HERE.

  • Last year £3,109,894 was contributed to Children in Need from the 2 festivals.
  • The 2018 target from both festivals is £3.25m

Enjoy yourselves everyone, secure in the knowledge that you are also supporting a very worthy cause.
