On Thursday 11th August, Gifford Lea, hosted a 'Summer Celebration' to give guests a glimpse of the latest phase of the development.
Following the recent completion of Phase 3 the 'Summer Celebration' was a chance for visitors to learn more about life at the retirement village, explore the brand-new show homes and see the rest of the fantastic state-of-the-art facilities on offer.
Special guest and acclaimed broadcaster, Gloria Hunniford, took part in a Q&A where she shared stories about her exciting career in TV and radio, as well as tips on how to stay feeling young and make the most of retirement. Guests also enjoyed a drink's reception, live music, a classic sports car on display and the sun shining over the retirement village centre.
A barbeque lunch rounded up the day where guests enjoyed the sunshine before having the opportunity to explore the newest phase of the retirement village.
Phase 3 includes 39 brand new apartments, including 10 stunning affordable homes available as shared ownership or to rent, as well as completed communal areas and landscaped gardens, all of which were on full display .
Rachel Butterworth, Village Manager at Gifford Lea, comments: "It was great to welcome visitors to explore the newest phase of the development alongside a day of music, fun, food and the added bonus of sunshine.
